The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Rugby League by LeeM on 18 January 2013 10:39am
Knowing Michael himself hails from the grimey northern city of Sheffield, of which, despite being a strong soccer city and Mr Palin supporting Sheff Wednesday, it is also host to the traditional northern hotbed sport of rugby league and has had the Sheffield Eagles in places since the early 1980s.

I wondered if Michael himself has ever watched an RL game, despite that he was educated in a British private boarding school in Shropshire (not that far from the game's heartlands) where rugby union, I presume would have been the prevailent code of rugger?

I have seen some people in NZ where Michael was doing some school/Uni fun thing and several people wore rugby league jerseys.

For those not aware of the great game, please check out this video link:

Cheers ;)
