So, has anyone seen Fahrenheit 9/11 yet? I did & I must say it sure gives a lot of fodder for debate & argument (an argument being an intellectual process - a connected series
of statements to establish a proposition - & not just contradiction).

no it isn't.

I would like to see F911 but i am afraid it will just make me even more pissed off at our Pres. And I am pretty pissed off at him right now. No need to fan the cinders.

tell me, what did you think of it? I know folks who saw and said it was brilliant-- and has made a lot of people "former Bush supporters." that is a beautiful thing indeed. Bless that Mickey Moore.
I still think his greatest film was Roger and Me.

There's a great debate about Bush on thesims.com that I stupidly got involved in - I'm not really good at arguments, I'd hate for one to burst out here, would be left without a leg to stand on...

Personally, I find bush very normal, and in the right spots, very sexy. ;D

I saw F911 last week - it was brilliant. And Helen - you should see it. The general reaction that I've heard from other people is anger, yes...but more importantly, the movie is motivating people to do anything in their power to influence this year's election. And that's a wonderful thing, IMO.

Re: Bush whacked by Helen on 3 July 2004 12:48am

Agreed, Alto. Tis wonderful how this movie is influencing people to vote-- period. (and NOT voting for Bush!)
there IS hope.

Saw it. I was very heartened - the show was sold out and after it was over, everyone was yelling, "VOTE, people! Get out and VOTE!" We feel very awful here in the Sunshine State! I have on many occasions apologized to those people I "talk" to on the net in other countries!

As for the film, I was most upset by the Marine recruiters walking around the Walmart parking lot in Flint, MI. THAT is what pushed me over the edge to cry. Go figure.

Helen and Cori - It`s interesting to hear your American ideas of the Michael Moore movie. It has garnered many column inches in our British papers - not all positive. I have yet to see it!

Re: Bush whacked by Ken Dunn on 3 July 2004 6:26am

Good first and third comments Helen. There was something about a movie about 9/11 on this website before and I thought it shouldn't have been done. Remember that with the American president, as with the leader of any country, "The buck stops here".
