USA: May I propose that each and every single time one of us uses this site, that we begin each message with the initals of your country? I think it would be much more interesting and add a lot of depth to our messages. Frankly, most of the messages are confusing enough due to the nicknames, most of which have n meaning to most of us. Perhaps identifying ourselves a little more would help us follow the conversations and see just how WHERE you live impacts your thoughts. Anyone else like this idea? I know some of us have often mentioned where we live, but those responses get lost in the shuffle. (Can't follow them to where they originate.) A simple USA or UK, or NZ, or any other way you care to designate yourself, would be really helpful. Mainly because, also, the nicknames are, although, lots of fun, they can become confusing as well.

See next message below for I explained a little more. Thanks!

I have contacted Webmaster about automatically placing the country next to our user names. Of course, when registering, it is optional because some people are concerned about privacy, but that's fine. Let's see how all our users feel and also what the webmaster says. If already a user, maybe the webmaster can ask for us to update our profiles so it will be done each time without any extra fuss from us each time we send a message.

UK. Talk about confusing nicknames Peripatetically! I mean....!!!!

Someone also thought a timeline might help (as it's a UK website a time of posting in GMT might help people know when exactly the last message had been posted, rather than just the date.... but so far the webmaster has been silent on the possibilities of that....

As you say, we could amend our profiles so my name would be UK-JenJen or something like that.

questions questions.....

UK
Piglet2 here aka Lyn as I have had to re-register to get back on cos I got lost somehow - if I logged on again with UK I wouldnt mind as I would get even more e mails from MP!! but I think the webmaster would notice so many going to my e mail though!

Jen Jen i asked peripatetically could I call them P for short!

I think that the year could be deleted from the date and put as 24 Jan to make room for the area we live - giving the country of origin shouldnt be a problem security wise.

see what happens.

uk - i think it is a good idea to add the country, seeing as this is a travelling site, it helps to know where people are from...Im not very good at guessing!
