CHAT ROOMS/FORUMS~ANY RECOMMENDATIONS??? by harvey123 on 7 April 2005 11:32am

hello all, im looking for decent chat rooms/forums ideally it would be regarding pets as im an animal lover..i'm looking on the web but its so annoying when you have to filter through all the rubbish to get to a half decent one..I thought i found one but as soon as i entered as a new member within an hour i was accused of being this rather nasty troll from several senior members because i love dobermanns..arrrggghhh it was really horrible i was soo mad
Anyway do you know any good ones~i need to restore my faith in them.Thanks.

He really looks good.
The hostfamily I'm living in has a Labrador and her name is Lucy she is very cute. I never had a dog but because Of living with my hostfamily and Lucy I really think different now about dogs. We also have a cat here and it's so funny how well both get along. The cat sometimes thinks she's a dog because she grew up with a dog and Lucy came after the cat and now Lucy thinks that the cat is her Mum or at least the cat cares for her. It's so cute. As soon as I have my own appartement I'm thinking of getting my own dog.

Re: CHAT ROOMS/FORUMS~ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?. ps take a look at my dog! by harvey123 on 7 April 2005 6:39pm

Bruce~he definatley is a handfull! hes getting to that age now where hes testing me to see what he can get away with the little bugger (an he looks so sweet and innocent in the photo)..luckily mummys not a soft touch..you definaltly have to be firm with these dogs because they are huge and can knock you sideways..he weighs 28kg now and he will reach about 40kg..thakfully hes intelligent and quite easy to train.

Pollyanna~thankyou..im a huge animal lover too but i dont have room or time for any more sadly. I once had a parakeet..i'm not sure if you know what it is or if im spelling it right he was a Patagonian Conure and VERY noisy! he was fantastic he would carry little thing round with him and would love lying on his back while i tickled his tummy sounds silly but that bird was so loving. But sadly like birds do he turned ill sometime in the night and died~i was so upset.oh an i forgot weve got 3 goldfish in a pond~but they dont like there tummys being tickled !!!

Stern~ all animals are fantastic but dogs and cats are definatley at the top..they are a companion for life and become like a child in the family..harvey gets alot more fuss than my partener at times :-$
If you are thinking of having a pet a cat is probably the better than a dog because if you had a flat and the space can be an issue so work it out from whatever home u end up with. If you have a dog it is as exspensive and time consuming as having a child but they are such a pleasure to own.i would rather have dogs than kids!!!

He's gorgeous!
I personally don't have a dog, I have 1 budgie and 5 cats (Though the cats have never tried to catch the budgie, they just ignore him!) I used to have a dog before I had my cats, because we live right next to some good fields.

The cats are lovely but a nightmare sometimes! They brought a little bunny in on good friday (The biggest creature they have caught so far) I have no idea how they got it through the cat flap though!
