Questions About Japan by pandab on 31 August 2005 2:30am

I'm going to Japan this autumn, but I have a couple questions of a "shocking" nature. Sorry, I couldn't resist <G>.

What kind of electrical adapter will I need? I think I have one already, but I'm not sure it is the right kind.

Also, what is the current (watts, volts or whatever you call it) in Japan? Will I need a converter for it? I'm using eletrical stuff from the US.

Thanks ever so!

From the information on the back of the travel adapter that I bought in Thailand, Japan is 205V. You should be able to purchase one from the Airport (as in my case).

Thank you, Dominic!

Your adapter says Japan is 205v? Well, that makes my latest tally even at 2-all. Two sources say 200-something and two say 110.

Hmm ... Guess I'll take my adapter and see what I find when I get there <G>.
