Promised Pictures from Yesterday. by tucsonmike on 13 December 2005 3:22am

Hi folks,
Here are the promised pictures. They should work now.

My job as Parking Lot Attendant. It's $2 to park and that helps the museum, but I wont object to a tip.;-)

The front of the locomotive. The man on the right is one of the people responsible for the locomotive being renovated and the museum. Eddie is the real thing. He was a Southern Pacific Conductor from 1946-1987. Santa is one of our volunteers. I think the other gentleman really was a brakeman for the railroad.

So you could see the steam coming out of the locomotive.

Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. A local artist did these. The building in the background was the old Railway Express Building. Now it is the Artists Coop Saguaro Artisans.
Why is Wyatt Earp commemorated 67 miles from Tombstone in Tucson. Before the OK Corral. Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday ambushed a Clanton associated named Frank Stilwell somewhere along the tracks. It is still delicate to discuss this. You see, the Earps were hired guns. A year after the OK Corral, they moved on. Families like the Clantons lived here (and a relative of Frank Stilwell still lives here).

Oh my goodness! It's Mrs. Tucsonmmike!

Enjoy!

Could only get into the first picture, Mike. Don't know what happened to the others.

I figured out the problem. I was clicking on the wrong links. When I saw the links after you folks wrote, I realized what was wrong.
