Guess what? I got Ripping Yarns and a script of the Meaning of Life signed by all Pythons!

Well done Polly. I got an odometer for my hikes and two books about the Red Sox.

Great presents, Polly! I received lots of lovely gifts, including the latest Goodies DVD set, a book by the Dalai Lama and a Chaplin DVD. My Dad bought me this. I've never watched Chaplin before, so I'm really interested in seeing it. Unfortunately, I can't yet, as I left it out at Dad's. Whoops!

I got a wheelbarrow!

There's usually a dead silence after that so I'm leaving a blank line...

I really wanted one! I'm re-landscaping all around my house and this cuts the time and labor down to, like, 20% of what it was! I'm really excited about it! (And I got 2 GREAT pairs of silver earrings and MONEY DEPOSITED INTO MY TRAVEL SAVINGS ACCT. which I REALLY REALLY wanted!)

And (ready for this, Helen? 'You listening?) My husband got a set of "ddrum" electronic drums and they are not to be believed. I mean, if there was a drum kit laying around somewhere on the Enterprise-D, this would be it. Pictures will follow.

Em, do you mean Charlie Chaplin? I LOVE Charlie Chaplin! When I need a good laugh and cry I watch "City Lights." **SIGH**

Well, whatever rows your boat. Or, whatever it is that goes with this statement.

Two books about the Red Sox? What are they?

I got 4 hand blown champagne flutes and a cd of "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" - when the Floyd still had Sid with them. I still have family pressies to come today when we get together this evening.

OOOH! The drums sound NIIIIICE...Yes, send pics please...Let's clear out my barn and turn it into a club. The next CBGB's is right in my backyard...

but, the wheelbarrow... I need one too!! Mine has a FLAT TIRE!! A BIG FLAT TIRE. And BIG HOLE IN SAID TIRE. It sucks.

Santa was good to everyone, it seems. YAY! (Red Sox--can you BELIEVE that Johnny Damon???!!)

Santa kicked ass this year for yours truly.

I got an i-Pod!!! (no more worn out cassettes and crappy radio in my car! I'm gonna have bitchin tunes! My fave bitchin tune right now is the deliciously disco flavored "Murder on the Dance Floor" by Sophie Ellis Bextor--can't stop listening to it)

Oh, I also got a case of Razzles candy, a big rubber Turkey Vulture, a new watch, 'Casino' on DVD and a Napoleon Dynamite talking doll.

Wow. The big rubber turkey vulture definitely trumps my wheelbarrow. :^)

George, my two Red Sox books are:
Mind Game, How the Boston Red Sox Got Smart Won a World Series and Created a New Blueprint for Winning. (Not a very New England sentiment, but OK).
I lied, the other one is called Baffling Baseball Trivia

Re: My christmas loot by Ahren on 26 December 2005 11:13pm

I got 2 Franz Ferdinand calendars and a DVD! Also that box collectiom of MP's books, although i've already got most of them!! My grandparents were the cheekiest things ever- they found an article by MP in some magazine about walking. There was a big picture with it, so they ripped it out and stuck it in a frame for me! It was the funniest thing I'd seen all year!!!
