going on my own europe trip!! by Sophie-Louise on 16 May 2006 2:53am

hey!

remember jake form this site? well we might be organising a month long european rail trip next summer!! isn't that fab?!! well we only spoke about it for like 2 minutes and it was only an idea but i don't care, i've madeup my mind and i'm going, even if i'm going alone! it's only £277 for a month rail ticket to go anywhere in europe!!! so cheap hostels and camping are for the rest of the time! i really can't wait! anyone got any adice on 'different' things to see or places to stay???

That sounds great Sophie. If you need info. on Poland let me know. I think Maria and others can handle Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Would you be able to travel on the Orient Express - now that would be an experience?

Take care whatever you do and wherever you go - you never know you may be travelling in michaels footsteps!!

The best thing Sophie is to plan a rough route then as you travel and stop at different hostels ask other travellers what they have recently seen that's worth a look at. Places changes over the years. Also get a good guide book that covers a broad area, and make sure that your email account is upto date so that you can tell everyone what you are upto!!

Southern Europe is great for rail travel in October/November. For example Florence,Pisa,Monaco, still have T-shirt weather. Also local hotel and restaurant staff have more time for YOU when they are winding down for the winter season. Don't expect summer facilities but you can find extra attention and local chit-chat.

Oh Sohie LOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh you're going to ahve a blast. I'm so envious!
First you have to mention a few things you and Jake and others might be interested in seeing or going. What are your interests? I mean, if you're going thrugh Europe, it;s so diverse and many of us have done a lot there. No way we can tell all. Look under the Aurtia /HUngary. Germany post lately, by Adopted Tyke. I suggested some thing to her/him. But there's just so much more.
