The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Macalaster Project by Freddi on 28 May 2006 2:50pm
Hey, you want a good read? Try this book by Zane Gates. It's full of typos (I think the author sent his draft to publisher on disc and they just printed it from there without proofreading!) but it's still an interesting hypothesis. (Dr. Gates is writing medical thrillers to help finance his free clinic for the medically unerinsured. A good example of one putting one's money where one's mouth is.) Anyway, just offering it as a diversion from DaVC. It's really a good topic for controversy, too.

My step dad is writing a simalar book, and Da Vinci code is based off another book called Holy Blood Holy Grail.

Talking about other interesting books, the last one I've read was: "Las intermitencias de la muerte" (I've read it in portuguese, of course, but it seems its been published in USA and Europe with this spanish title but with its content in english). It's very good, creative, humorous, written by Jose Saramago.
It's about a country that suddenly has to face a strike of "Death" and the consequences of such a unique event. Great reading!

Without giving anything away, the actual subject of Dr. Gates's book is a medical shenanigan. So as I said in my first posting, it's a good diversion -- from the biblical shenanigans. You can probably find copies of this book on internet book sites if your local bookstore doesn't have it.
