Wallet size is important, if it's not a big wallet would thoroughly recommend Inter railing in Europe, I did that when I was in college, on a tight budget staying in hostels in one month I visited: Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Russia (St petersburg's underground is a must) Poland Germany and France. My wallet is that bit bigger now - South America option: Argentina colourful diverse scenery architecture history. Asia - torn between India and Dubai - diverse, culture, scenery. Africa - Botswana - did a horse riding safari there a couple of years ago - one word - AMAZING..... Europe: Switzerland and Scotland - hey I love mountains... I've yet to go to Australasia, the Antarctic, North America want to go to New England in the Fall.

Not having travelled for a few years and it would be on my own, I decided a few years ago to explore those common tourist destinations - I found deserted sandy beaches on Mallorca, and on foot you can discover tiny villages that are not on the tourist map, in the Canaries - try La Gomera - the beaches are mostly pebbled but again hiking is very popular and you can find gems of villages along the way. Yes adventure does start at your front door, but where to? What did I do? I picked out 10 places I wanted to go to and could afford, put them in a pot and picked one, that's where I went.....

I don't travel either but I would love to see Rome. Maybe I could, when I enter 11th grade I can go on tht $5,800 Latin III trip to Rome, probably not, it is too expensive.
