Your home doesn't sound like a museum at all! It's full of gorgeous things from around the world and that's so special!
I did a fair bit of travelling when I was younger, but now I'm saving my pennies for a big overseas trip. I hope to have those sorts of amazing experiences you speak of and expand my mind and heart!

USA: Thank you for the compliments, MISS FRUITCAKE. Keep those pennies mounting, and you'll be on your way. Do some homework in advance. You can't be too prepared. If you see a tourist going in one direction, go the other way, unless it's something you really wish to see. I try to take off the beaten path ways once the highlights are covered. Pick a narrow street, look at doorways and architecture, skylines, and even the composition of the streets and pedestrian zones. Be aware of as much as possible. That makes you wonder and maybe discover something about the resources that part of the world used.

Be sure to print address labels in advance so those postcards can be written and mailed quickly. I had about 30 seconds to jot a note before catching a bus. I wrote the surprisingly low temperature and popped the card in the mailbox. Without that label in my wallet to slap on quickly, I'd not have had the time. A wasted card and not postmarked from the destination I desired.

Patty~
