Well, 44 is just my favourite number and I had to put something before it so it doesn't make any sense at all. I was very impressed though that you know so many places in Hungary (like Szentendre, Esztergom and the others mentioned). The spelling isn't that important, really! As you may have noticed my English definitely needs some improvement as well... Long live all Germans and Americans and Everyone! |

Where do you live in Maryland, "peripatetically"? And the rest of you? I admit that I've never been to the U.S. but I'd like to go. The autumns are very beautiful there they say... Where exactly in Germany are you from, Babsy if I may ask? |

Hi peripatetically, I am from Duesseldorf, which is not in the nicest part of Germany but a very exciting city indeed!! I haven't lived there for many years, though. Spent some time in Norway and Cyprus befor I ended up here in Oxford....which I love!!!
Which part of Germany did you visit? |

Duesseldorf is where one of my fraternal great-grandparents was born. The other was from the Black Forest and when married, they lived in Heidleberg. Then, finally, they came to the USA prior to WW1.
I've been to most areas south of Frankfurt and west to Trier, along the Mosel, although I can't say I know them ALL like the back of my hand. I'm more familiar with some areas more than others. |
