I know the Mosel area very well - its where I was sent to our equivalent of summer camps every year. When I was older, we rode to the Nurburgring at weekends and raced a few rounds on the track - its open to the public for a small fee.
I have never been to Maryland or Washington - know the West Coast quite well, though. My husband worked in San Diego for a while and I visited him there a lot. I absolutely love California. |

I love maps and travelling and the East Coast is one of my favourite areas in the U.S. to examine (including the Appalachian Mts., New England etc.). I visited Germany many-many times but mainly Bavaria and the southern part (Munchen etc.) and Köln once. I loved the cathedral and in Bayern the castles and the mountains and forests! I love Germany and would like to visit Dresden and the northern part (Bergisches Land etc.) as well. |

Babsy, my friends live in the suburbs of Dortmund and it is quite nice where they live. They used to live in Unna. |

Hi All
Have been away a coupe of days - we went on strike at the University and I took the chance to spend a few days in Devon.
Tusconmike: I love the Southwest, too. Both over here and in the US! |

We strikes over our pension rights, retirement age etc - not entirely a British problem!!
I the states I travelled from Sab Diego, Eastwards to Yuma (bit of RV driving in the dunes), then North to the canyon, West to Vegas and across the Sierra Nevada to the Yosemite. Stayed there for a while before driving on to San Francisco. Took a plane to Calgary from there and relaxed in Banff for a week after all that driving. Saw my 1st wolf in the Rockies!!! |
