Poor Gene was fired last night. I think he did it on purpose, TBH. I have a theory about that move on his part. it's too long to explain here , at least right now. I might explain later. lol

Family Jewels has been running in the USA for at least a year. I've quite enjoyed it, actually!

So many people have been clamoring for another series of Fawlty Towers. If John Cleese would do it, you could have it as a reality show in which Manuel has gone back to Barcelona and Basil is looking for a replacement. The person who endures the most humiliation and physical abuse wins.

Side plots could include Basil sexually harrassing Polly, Major Misunderstandings, and the two dotty old ladies getting into hilarious scrapes and being bailed out by Basil, who will throw at least one temper tantrum each week.

Michael could host the show... :D

I wondered about that Patty.

I like this show. Sooo glad Gene Simmons is gone, he's an arrogant ass. I've always liked The Apprentice, it's fun to watch.

Oh, Mr. P would do horribly...but only because he's toooo nice to be cut-throat in the board room...and we love him for it. :)

But ol' Gene made it interesting. Ya have to ahve some arrogance or it would be too boring. lol. I find him so arrogant that he is humorous.

As for Gene deliberately getting fired---- Think about it. He's no dummy. He KNEW he'd be fired with the two he picked to go to the boardroom. He wants the dumber ones of the girls team to remain so the men will ultimately win at the end. Also, in series past, the already-fired apprentices always come back to help in the final challenge. If the women think he is that stupid and won't listen to them or whatever, , he won't get picked by them as a team member at that point. He'll then land on the men's side and work like a demon to help them win again. Anyway, there are probably holes in that theory somewhere, but it's what I keep wondering about. Farfetched? Perhaps... But I believe his allegiance is with the men. It wasn't really his choice to leave the men's team, if you happened to listen carefully to what The Donald said when the teams were uneven. He reluctantly said he'd join them, don't ya think??? Even saying he was King of the Women. it was a coverup, I think. he thinks it's true yes, but he used that as a good cover this time.

I really don't think the women's team is strong at all. But , like football, anything can happen at any time, on any given day, right Mike????? wink wink (Patriots game. One never knows for sure.hahahaha)

Gene Autrey was fired from riding a horse because he had socks that didn't match and halitosis. Not many people know that.
Re: Celebrity Apprentice by Miss-M on 19 January 2008 3:50am
Wow, I did not know that. Thanks so much for that usual nugget of information. You never know when Eddie may ask it on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire :)
