McDonald's breakfast menu is OK, but everything else makes me feel queasy. I'd prefer a pizza or a Subway roll. Sushi is great, but we don't have any decent sushi joints here. |

I think there ought to be protest marches all over the World, well ok, the UK at least, DEMANDING that Wimpy put the good old toasted bun, burger, and fried onions on their menu!!

There are a few Wimpys in the northeast US, just nothing near Connecticut. Philadelphia is a long haul for a hamburger, no matter how good it is!
Frankly, I'm just not a big fan of fast food. My favorite breakfast and lunch places are little diners and other mom-and-pop places that aren't parts of chains. The food is almost always better. |

We don't have Wimpey here either but I went to one when I was a kid in England. |

Yes yes but does ANYONE agree with me about the fried onions and toasted bun rather than all the c**p they put on nowadays?
We still have Wimpy bars here.

Oh, you mean there is such a place as Wimpey? I thought it was a fictional fast food restaurant where Stanley Moon was tempted by George Spiggott. |

It's real Missy, in fact their kids meal comes with fries, a burger, a drink and a miniature George Spiggott with a suction cup on it so you can stick it on your window. |

I agree with you about fast food. I hate eating on the road. If I'm in so much hurry that I don't have time to eat...I guess I'll be late. I rarely eat where I can't get a pint. Part of the game, I say.
Yes, sometimes I want fried onion and a toasted bun when I want these flavours.

Well, I like the toasted bun, because it doesn't get soggy. But I pretty much just like a little ketchup (catsup?) and maybe some pickle relish on my homemade burgers. Fried onions are okay if I'm at a restaurant that makes really good burgers. Otherwise they're just greasy bits added to an already mediocre lump of meat. |

We say ketchup too. I thought YOU said catsup?
I will let you have ketchup (or mustard if you prefer (ENGLISH mustard of course!!)) but I'm sorry - NO relish allowed!!
And the fried onions would be done perfectly (soft, with some overdone), the bun toasted just so, and the burger delish.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm!! I have cravings!!
