Thanks guys! Mike I did indeed talk to him, he was following me and I told him he was rude and to back off and he still went on (it amazed me that he did as I had Ava and Kathryn with me), I wasn't scared I just got angry and told him to f*** off and only then did he go away.

He did that when you had your kids with you??!!! The guy is deranged. I would have created a huge fuss to get other people (and, hopefully, Security personnel) involved. Men like that need to be stopped. Usually, their excuse is "I was only being friendly" but they need to be "educated" that that kind of behavior id definitely NOT friendly. I'm so glad you got out of it safely, Karen.

If you have the misfortune of seeing him again you could say "I'll have you castrated in your sleep." It took me a little while to think of it - but it might also be effective. I would also alert employees, maybe take a picture of him with a camera phone, and possibly try to follow him in your car to get license plate, etc.

Male palinites?

I am pretty sure that I would remember him if I saw him, hope I don't though. Creep. Thamx for all your messages, I was really upset afterwards and yes Geraldine, mainly coz the kids were there.

Sorry, I'm just down with the flu at the moment, so if I say things I wouldn't normally say, well..

Karen, were there any bystanders? I don't know about Australia, but someone would have done something here. Even if he sees you again, I will be shocked if he remembers you, especially in a large city.

Once you said Kathryn was with you, I realized you were not more defensive than usual to protect the baby. What was Kathryn doing while you were trying to tell this guy off?
Also, I would have not walked back to my car at that point, but straight to mall security.

I would just loved to have seen the guy's face if Big Ray had been waiting at the car for you. :)

Karen, I'm glad you're okay! That guy sounds like a real nut job. I never would have gone to my car--I would have let him follow me straight to the security officer. People like that are unpredictable and sometimes become violent--at least, in America they do. You should probably report the incident to the security office--the next woman might not be as lucky as you were. This guy will probably keep following women and annoying them until he resolves whatever issue he's got with women.

Mike, in CT, it would be highly unlikely that anyone would have gotten involved unless it did become violent or it was obvious that the kids were being threatened. Even then, people tend to stand by calling 911 rather than intervening.
