She's frighteningly smart, like her dad, and like him, she retains just about everything. I so envy them! I'm not stupid, but I'm not as smart as they are (if numbers count, 99% of people in the world aren't as smart as they are!), and it's getting hard for me to learn new stuff and retain it. Sigh.

Well, you know as they say, 'two minds are better than one,' and three are even better! Sometimes lately, I've noticed, when I switch off my computer I feel like I'm switching off part of my brain. It's like it's beome this extension of my brain - and without it I can't access as much information. So my brain ends up feeling incomplete without the computer. It's seems possible our brains may get kind of addicted to all the stimuli and connections that our technology has to offer.

mrsthing, I would most happily post your daughter's poem in the Lum.Vue Submissions page if she were ever interested. She could use her real name, pen name, or whatever she wanted (if she wanted to).

Thanks, M. I'll ask her what she wants to do.

When we don't actively engage our brains in remembering and accessing information, we lose the facility. We can get it back, though. Practice, practice, practice! And go for a walk in the sunshine once in awhile.

You have a very sharp, comprehensive, clever, intuitive mind mrsthing!

She can take as long as she wants to think about it - it's a permanent offer. But no pressure. If it would be fun for her and she wants to, I know a lot of readers would really enjoy it. I know a lot of poetry and ocean lovers too.

Keep her writing, Mrs T., that is very good! And of course...keep her writing, on disc, hardcopy etc.

She has a handle on the language, Judy!

M-She said she'd be happy to have you post her poem on Luminous Vue. Please use the pen name Kaito Aozora. (Two Japanese words; she's heavy into Japanese stuff because of her obsession with anime and manga. Kaito is a girl's name, and Aozora means sky or soar.)

That is very exciting mrsthing! I'm sure people will love it! I don't know if anyone will write any comments, but at this point, hundreds of people are looking...

What a beautiful & cool pen name! I will post it in a couple days. I'll let you know first - so you guys can be some of the first to see it up if you like.

Does she want to include any general bio under the pen name? (It's all up to her - but I think, for example people will be even more impressed knowing her age.) It could say -- Kaito Aozora, written at age 12 (for example).

You can put her age in. She was 11 when she wrote it. You can also say she was grieving the loss of a pet bird.
