There's a few hundred dead Palestinan children who won't make it to D.C in time to see the half-black Messiah installed as the leader of the killing-machine.
So the American Zionists halted the bombing in Gaza so as not to sully the Messiah's day ?
Who are you going to blame for the innocents that will be killed in the next four years, now that the dummy has gone ?

" Mission accomplished "........and most of the U.S. cheers, then pretends they did'nt.

"And besides....I was never prejudiced, I always had time for niggers, erm I mean blacks, erm I mean them coloured folk, erm I mean African Americans, erm I mean my fellow Americans. Godammit Leroy, just shoot the nigger ! "

Most of us know he's not a "messiah", and he's never billed himself that way.

The situation in the Middle East is not the sole responsibility of the US to solve, nor are we the sole perpetrators. This conflict predates the European settlements in North America.

Most of us stood dumbfounded as Mr. Bush took his photo op. Maybe the papers just showed the paid shills who cheered, and not the millions of us whose jaws dropped when we saw that news clip.

Israel has a government of its own, Johnny. With a real prime minister and everything! I agree we have a lot of influence over there, but they're culpable for their actions as well. They're not just puppets.

Why is the lead up to the Inauguration going so long? Because unlike countries that have Parliaments and the Prime Minister becomes Prime Minister because his party wins, we elect our President every four years.
No, there has never been this much hoopla for an inauguration. This is someone very different with an army of people who will email him on anything. FDR with his Fireside Chats, could not even dream of this.

Israel is a legit country. Maybe Ahadminijad in Iran does not think so, but he is a dingbat Mr. Obama is going to have to deal with.

I asked in the other thread, is Israel just supposed to let Hamas drop things on them?

Mostly, I wish it would go away. Then again, Nelson Mandela won in South Africa, the Berlin Wall fell and Protestants and Catholics stopped blowing one another up in Northern Ireland, so anything is possible.

I wish Mr. Obama the best. The reality as I see it has the Middle East battle outliving his term in office, and possibly his blessed time on Earth. He would do well to concentrate his efforts on domestic concerns...of which there are so many, he can't possibly bring them all onto the table, let alone solve every problem.

Besides, Israel is a good customer of the Military-Industrial Complex. This might help the USA survive the Global financial meltdown. Sell them bombs to pay for plane tickets to Beijing. That is a bigger situation by far...and no one needs to die.

Would someone care to shout me the plane ticket to DC? If I leave now, I might make it in time. Thanks in anticipation.

Well, I could never make it there in peson (I'd have wanted to see Clintons' Inauguration) - I will be quite contentedly ensconsed in front of TV, like lots of us & like lots of us with a box of tissues!

Less than 24 hours.....
