I have never heard the word "scutty",ever. Or "cuffy",for that matter. We must move in different social circles.

For the record,LIDL (pronounced :lee-dhl)is of GERMAN origin.
It was founded in the 1930's by Dieter Schwarz.

ALDI is also a GERMAN company.

I am surprised that you have not heard or used scutty or cuffy b-b especially the latter as you claim to be from Stafford from whence it originated. Members of my social circle neither use the word nor could they have it used against them - and yet I know both words.

And does it REALLY REALLY REALLY matter where Lidl or Aldi started and who started them?

You obviously have far too much tme on your hands b-b. I was merely guessing when I said Swedish - I did not expect to have some boring drivel from you about them when I logged on again.

It matters if you care about getting your facts correct.
Otherwise, what the hell, you might go thinking that the Volvo Company (which IS Swedish) was started in Tunisia or even Timbuktu. :))

Whatever????
I feel that my comment was brief, reasonable, relevant, and quite valid.
I do resent being told in a rather high-handed way by you: "you have far too much tme on your hands....." That is plainly insulting and unnecessary.

I also resent being told by you in your high-handed fashion:
"I do not expect to have {to read} some boring drivel from you..." That is VERY insulting.
There is no need to be so disagreeable towards me,and as a long-standing member of palin's travels you should know better than to be so peremptory towards another member.

If you are saying the time I spend commenting on your posts could be better spent elsewheres on a more valuable enterprise, well,I might just get the message.
