Everyone seem's to have something in common! Scary...
Yeah, Eng. Lit on Wednesday...at least we could scribble in the Anthologies, am I correct?
Anyway, good luck,

For English lit I have the upmost pleasure to be doing the wonders of the NEAB Anthology...short stories that you can't get into. It's easier to talk about one text (ie: An Inspector Calls, which we used for English and Drama coursework) then compare two really short texts...
Anyone else have the Anthology? |

LOL Sophie-Lou! I've known Alexandra for 14 years! A long time! She's raising funds for a trip to Thailand, are you planing on going? Good travel experience - v. Palinite-ish!
From the NEAB Anthology...Carol-Ann Duffy, Inspector Calls etc.

I've got the delights of Lord of the flies, A view from the bridge and the anthology. Some of the poems are good, some are boring, and some don't make any sense without the english teacher around!

no, i am not going to Thailand with the World Challenge team this year as i am not very well : ( i really wanted to go but it just wasn't possible. I am going next year in year 12, if they still run it, i can't wait!!It's the experiance of a life time. Alexandra is doing very well with her fund raising and the team have just been training for three days in Buxton in the Peak District, it sounds like they are all having a great time, apart from the vacinations required for such a trip which apparently had some unpleasant side effects! : (
Are they doing anything like this at anybody elses school?

Carol-Ann Duffy Poetry (like War Photographer & In Mrs Tisclher's Class but really hate Valentine (I give you an onion...)
Poems from other cultures and traditions (Unrelated Incidents and Half-Caste are great fun to read out)
Prose from the Anthology (boring as anything, Your Shoes & The Genius are such pains to write about!)
Hearts & Partners poetry from the Anthology
So it's all anthology, and nothing with much substance *sigh*
Who is this Alexandra, by the way, and home come you had the oppurtunity to visit Thailand, SL? The only holiday I've got offered on is Ingoldmels...
Our school does trips to Germany once a year, but thats really about it, save one to Paris. |

No, were not doing anything like that. Although our Music Department is going on Tour - to Austria (me included). Were going for a week (and a few days), in 2004, and shall be visiting all the great places, like the Salt Mines and we shall be performing some out-door concerts in Saltzburg etc. Should be fun.

Now I really feel left-out!
Well, as long as I go on the Berlin&Paris trips, and enjoy them in a Palinesque way, then I guess it's okay ^_^
I'm still hoping I'll get to travel a lot in the future! |
