hiya,

Llieno, our school offers the trip to Thailand through the world challenge team organisation, meaning if you do decide to go you have to raise all the money by yourself by fund raising and sponerships, etc.....

We hardly get any decent school trips apart from that! In fact we were going to go to Ingoldmels for Geography but even that was cancelled *sigh* : (

Pole 2 Pole that trip sounds very good, it will be a great experience of travel and music, are you going to do music at university?

I know we go to the Peak District with geog at AS, and the North York Moors in year 13 with those doing geog, but the only geog trip this year was one into the Lace Market, which is part of Nottingham City Centre
Not exactly that far, but we did get to spend lunchtime in town. Which would have been fun if my friend hadn't been attacked by some bored teenagers in the bus station...still, he was okay and got the rest of the day off.
Sorry, I've gone a bit off-topic now...

lol Llieno...I was once 'attacked' at a bus station, well I say attacked...more a misunderstanding
Anyway, yes Sophie-Lou I want to do Music a Uni, a 'Bmus' it's called or Bachelor of Arts, I think. I'd like to go to York, or anywhere around the country. Get away from home see a few places!
We did/do the same sort of Geog Trip - to the Trading Estate in Newark, Whoopy(!)
Anyone else predicted their future yet (educational-wise)?
Speak later, good luck with exams

I've tried predicting my future, believe me, I've lost a lot of sleep over it
The problem is I'm good at a lot of subjects, meaning that I could follow any of them to Uni and do well...so I've stuck on a crossroads
I was going to go into Law, until I realised I wasn't nasty enough for that ^_^
Philosophy maybe, but then what job can that get you?
I've always loved geography (as some of you might have guessed), but once again I'm unsure over which career.
I've always been good at public speaking and directing...
Which leaves my dream job the same as Mr Palin's...
I'd like to go to Cambridge Uni though because of my Scottish friends I've known for ages is going there

I love journalism! I've been told I'm quite good at it too ^_^ I was a reporter for the school newspaper, only the newspaper never actually did anything so I never got anything done...
Desciptive writing is my forté ^_^

Hey guy's,
This appears to be a creative little group. Even If I don't mind saying so myself!
If I could do Journalism I'd love to do Economics or Political reporting. Or a mixture. But I'd REALLY love to be a Formula One writer, my FAV sport.
We don't have a school newspaper...Imagine, I could do the weekly 'Spot the Ball' comp...

I'd love to do archology or anthropology at uni. I'm not partpiculally good at anything other than history or english, so i'm stuck!
Did anyone else do some tests at the start of yr 10 desined to tell them what careeer they would be good at? oasis tests, i think. Basically they tell you what you already know. I was told not to go into finance, as my interest level was 0%! i wont become an accountant who wants to be a lion tamer, then!

No, we did take some tests on the computer though, it said I should be a geochemist or geological photographer. Geology is a bit boring though, it's just rocks. Geography on the other hand - ^__^
