Sorry to interrupt your banter, Kazzz and Johnny (!) ;), but going back to the article. I had neighbours like this above the flat I used to live in. It was any time of day or night and I have some amusing stories to tell of that but won't post them here.

I have had some interesting neighbours in my time!

I friggin WISH I was that sensitive! I'd LOVE to have this problem! I'd buy a farmhouse on many acres just so as not to disturb anyone!

My Mum and Dad live in a Vic Hallam (matchbox) house. They are literally made out of card and wood (similar to the one here - http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3512/3726611187_3d4ef5cb46_o.jpg)

We had same problem with our neighbours. But it wasn't their fault, just the walls are crap! When someone is running upstairs or drilling the sound is terrible!

In Japan enthusiastic couples take themselves to 'love hotels' because typically the walls in Japanese houses are very thin. Wiki provides a decent run-down:

No, we don't. Love hotels are most tasteless things ever!I've seen pictures of them in books and they're really tacky!

Though if you mean because of the noise, you have a point.

Hmm yes it's not quite time for our traditional Christmas fight which will run thru to Easter. Better put the brakes on a bit :)
I couldn't hear my neighbours if I tried, they've started building units next door and are currently pile driving and excavating. Ear plugs please.
