His traveling hat is red...check out the link in the post that mentions it.

I am not into running any participants of a religion down, the policy makers yes, the people who are supposed to follow them, no they are not to blame.

Thanks for all your constructive suggestions,Palinites!

To mrsteabag: PapaNazi?? --Well,Benedict XVI was in the Hitler Youth, and was Archbishop of Munich. He won't ordain women, yet dresses Himself like a cross somewhere between Liberace and a Pantomime Dame.

[For debate: Is there any proven link between celibacy [in Catholic clergy] and paedophilia??
Is there any proven relationship between homosexuality [in Catholic clergy] and paedophilia??]

To Spursfan: Is there any hard evidence that [WWII] Pope--Pius XII--"ignored the Holocaust.." ??
Catholic Bishops must have known what was going on--after all, many Catholic Polish gentiles and clergy were murdered, both by Stalin's agents and by the German Nazis--and some spoke about it,but I think most were intimidated to speak out for fear of their own safety in the face of the Gestapo.
Churchill also was accused of ignoring the holocaust of Jews in the concentration camps.

To Loretto: Thank you for your comments!
I agree that we should certainly differentiate between the archaic hierarchical system of the CATHOLIC CHURCH,and ordinary God-worshipping Catholics of faith, some of whom I have met and have had good conversations with.
Can you please tell me,Loretto:
Is my List of Offenses [I feel a little bit like Martin Luther at Wittgenberg!]
sufficiently complete,or are there Other Offences which I have not yet added/included??

Not sure why you picked me to answer that one bIG. Have any other faiths caused offenses? Is the Catholic church the only guilty Church in the world? I know it has been in the news a lot lately, and quite rightly so, my fear is that Church bashing slips very easily into people bashing. I would say that the only other offense that is absent from your list is The Church does not practice what it preaches, and that is why many practicing Catholics have been truly hurt and cut to the bone by all these revelations. And that is what they are, revelations, most mass going Catholics didn't know half of what was going on because the decisions were made behind closed doors. There's another one for your list and it is a word that seems to be over used in speech and under used in actions "TRANSPARENCY."

Did I pass the test bIG??? ;-)

Spursfan and Loretto: Thank you.

Loretto: I guess you passed the "test" with flying colours :))

That's true.
I espied Loretto over a very large distance, and exclaimed:

"Holy Smoked Cow's Feet!! Rock My Soul,Elmo,we're on a Roll here!!"

and having exclaimed that,I spontaneously crapped my hands, which is a most sordid and Sneaky thing to do.

First articles I googled, I could find a hundred more if necessary about any church you'd like to mention.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/religion/7307962/Child-sex-abuse-allegations-uncovered-in-Church-of-England-files.html

Here's something else.

But it's more fun being Anti-Catholic though, isn't it ? Well, it feels safer for you anyway doesn't it ?

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms - oh damn! I can't say it, you'll have to say it.

Well there you go. It was even in the NY Times recently that US swimming coaches are under the microscope because of sex abuse allegations. We won't solve anything here that's for sure.
