I must have sat down right after you posted this. I have a few minutes to spare so gave it a try right away.

And, Loretto, I think something spooky is happening. My mother and I were talking just yesterday about how we never hear that phrase anymore--- "Holy Toledo!". I can't believe you just said it! Twilight Zone!

*Takes a hit from a Marlboro, raises one eye brow and looks directly into...the computer screen*

"You've just crossed into,
(pause)
the twilght zone"

*Coughs asthmatically and numerously, loses breath, coughs uncontrollably again, wheezes; coughs again, bends over to try to catch a breath*

I feel I shouldn't play for a while. I I seem to see your posting almost right away and others haven't had a chance to try.

Ah! Come on now. Are ya having fun?

I am here baking banana chocolate bread for a bake sale at my son's school on Sunday. I have baked 12 big loaves. The kitchen smells delicious!!!!!

Banana Chocolate Bread
4 Cups of Flour (All Purpose)
3 Cups sugar
1 teasp salt
2 teasp baking soda
4 eggs
8 tblsp buttermilk
1 1/2 cups of crisco oil
2 cups of bananas

Mix flour, baking powder, salt together in a bowl. Add in a cup of plain chocolate morsels or grated milk chocolate.

In separate bowl w/ electric egg beater mix eggs, banana, sugar, oil and buttermilk.

Add that to the flour, salt and baking powder mix. Stir well. Makes 3 small loaves or two large.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 55 minutes.

(Variations; use strawberry yogurt instead of buttermilk or, use pumpkin pie mix instead of bananas, don't use chocolate)

Lovely with a cup of coffee or tea in the morning!

It sounds like a lovely recipe - I'll bookmark it for my wife who loves baking.
