The challenge is 13 days old for me now....I try to eat gluten and lactose free foods, easy when you are home and have stocked the cupboards with stuff you know are g&l free but difficult when you are travelling. I did pack gluten free breakfast bars and some bread but dinner last night here in NJ was a nightmare. The team ate at a TGIF and the food was mass produced and horrible.

Route 1 in this part of NJ has a concrete barrier dividing the north and south lanes. The only way to make a legal u-turn is to exit from route 1 and come back on heading in the opposite direction, really confusing.

To make matters worse, these legal u-turns are about 1-2 miles apart. So if you are driving north instead of south you might have to drive two miles further to make that legal u-turn and head back in the correct direction.

Add to that no street lights, trees that make route 1 look beautiful in the day, but dark and impossible to navigate and see where you are at night.

Princeton is lovely though, we did a walking tour of the university yesterday between meets and it was impressive. I will post some pictures later.

That's right, if there's some kind of group gathering, maintaining a 100 day challenge could be hard, if your challenge is diet-related.

I failed to complete my 100-day challenge, the last few months I've been in a pretty poor state of mind..

The results were good while it lasted though, and I recorded my performance, so I'm going to start a new 100 day challenge, with slightly different goals. Will post and request ideas soon.

Ev, I have stuck to the gluten and lactose free 100 day challenge as diligently as possible. The hardest part is doing gluten free when away from home. But at home I now drink black coffee, eat gluten free bread and use gluten free condiments on food. I know the 100 days will be up in August, but I am continuing on the gluten free and lactose free diet from now on.

My next challenge is to go caffeine free and sugar free by Christmas. That is going to be tough.

Good luck with the next challenge, thanks for suggesting a 100 day challenge and also good luck with this new phase in your life. Hope it is stress free.
