I'm thinking about setting the alarm clock for 4am to see how the results are going. If I don't I'm hoping for a good outcome first thing tomorrow.

Scotland has voted No to independence. 1.6 million people voted yes and 2.0 million voted no. 4 of the 32 regions voted yes and 28 voted no. The last result from Highland region was announced 15 minutes ago and it was no. There was an 84.5% turnout to the poll and this is unprecedented in political history.

I woke about 6am, just in time for the Fife declaration and the no vote here confirmed the result before the last count was known.

I'm glad it is all over and the United Kingdom remains united.

The rest of the UK are now voting to see if we should accept Scotland back into the fold!
