Do i hold the record at 13, liking Michael since i was 10?
I have a pics of him covering my whole locker at school, and probably one in every folder i own, lol, you should see the funny looks i get when pplz pass my locker, on top of which i already hold the school title as boyish girl of all (mind, there are around 1200 students there). |

| Well...I am 17 and have liked Michael since I was 7 but have been crazy about him for 3 years. The only bad thing is that none of my friends know who he is!! |

| Yeah, none of my friends even know about Monty Python or anything...I guess I shouldn't really be talking, I only really got into it starting about a month ago!...and all my friends would TOTALLY make fun of me if they knnew I had a crush on the 20-yr-old version of a man who is 60 years old now!!! |

Goll...I remember those days of not wanting to tell anyone. I was about your age! (All of you who've heard this story, you may now take a nap.)
I got into the Monkees when I was 12 and I thought, "Oh, no one can know or they'll all laugh and make fun of me!" I kept my interest in 60's music a secret for over a year...I was nearly 14 by the time my friends found out. And they did think I was weird, but I just didn't mention it much. A few monthes later, it was obvious that we were drifting and we went our separate ways. But that was okay, because I had found a new group of friends who liked the same music.
Today, we're not all the same...I'm the only one who loves Python and Michael, but the others do like Holy Grail and a bit of the series. No one in the group shares my fanatical obsession over Neil Young's music (he may look like an ape, but he rocks!!!), among other things, but they let me be me and I let them be them. I have no problem telling them about any new obsession or interest I have. Ye gods, I even obsess over a knight who would have died 1000 years ago, had he been real, and they don't think I'm weird. It's nice!
In short, I understand your pain, but don't keep it locked up too long. I know it's a hard thing to face, but if they can't handle you for who you are or what you like, then they're not true friends. :O) The best of luck with that!
Anywho...I just turned 19. YAY! And, like a couple of you have mentioned (hugs, Michelle!), I have this problem with everyone thinking I'm 16. It used to be 15, but I got a new haircut at the beginning of the summer that added a year on me. Woohoo!
