Lyn, you're the lucky lady who's had the privilege of getting a kiss (kisses?) from Mr. Palin aren't you? Or did you plant one on him? *Hehe*

He seems like such a reserved gentleman, I think I'd be almost too shy to ask for a kiss for fear of embarrassing him!

Michelle :)

I wonder how many people go up to Michael and quote something from Monty Python?

Karen - so you did not ask him if he was expecting the Spanish Inquisition?

If the world didn't give a crap about what you did, and if I had reached a state of total nirvana... I'd probobly end up jumping up onto the table and sing the lumberjack song... But that's very unlikly isn't it? :)

I'll get back to you on what I'd really say...

ToMichelle and Dianne
Hi guys, I didn't talk about the Spanish Inquisition, I did however try to get him to write it in the book I was having signed but the staff member at the ABC shop would only allow his signature...RATS!...due to the sheer volume of people in the queue. There were literally thousands and probably only one tenth of those people actually got a book signed, so I was pretty lucky! He was SO nice and apologised to me because I had been waiting for about 4 hours. Little did he know that I would have waited 4 days if necessary! I got 4 photos, one with me in it as well, which is stuck in the front of my signed Hemingway book next to his signature. It's just too good! My friends were highly amused afterwards cos I has a permanent smile on my face for weeks. They just don't get it so this is fantastic to be in contact with people who absolutely DO get it!!!
See ya...Karen

Hey Karen,

You waited in line for 4 hours?? Your feet must have been killing you! Alas, good things come to those who wait and I too would have waited 4 days if necessary!! *LOL* Have you scanned the pictures you had taken with Michael? I'd love to see them if you have!

Okay, okay...I apologize profusely for my last post. Sort of. ;O)

That's too bad he couldn't write that in the book for you Karen, especially after waiting that long, but you're right - from the sounds of the line, you were lucky! It's very cool that he was so nice about it!

I wonder how long the line will be if he comes to Wisconsin? (Which I really really really really really really hope he does!)

Whaaaaa? Some lucky lady got a kiss? Nice!
What would I say? Probably somthing along the lines of
"I've watched you since I was fi....well not watched YOU, but have seen your work on the tele....well, of COURSE on the tele, what am I talking abou...where was I? Oh yeah, so I've been a big fan of yours for 27 year...well not a BIG fan for all those years, because back in the 70's I was quite small and...oh, yeah...this is a book signing....here's my 'Sahara' book, but my favorite is 'Full Circle' and the pictures are marvelous, though you didn't take them but you were IN most of them and they were grand...but my favorite was the one with you and the little girl and the big bag...."
I think that's about when they would drag me away, as I keep talking and talking and talking because I think my brain would be in a complete state of shock and my poor husband would probably have to hide me in the basement until I calm down, quit talking, or both.
Eeeek! The pressure is now on! Of course, after reading my rantings, the webmaster may see this and strongly suggest that Michael NOT make a stop in Minnesota for the sake of his safety. I mean, there's so many loonies here <;)

kisses-

Hi guys and especially Michelle!
No I haven't scanned the photos yet cos I'm still trying to work out how to use this computer properly! I will consult my experts (my childred, obviously!), will get them scanned and will let you know in the next couple of days. By the way, do you have any interesting info on MP that I should know about? The more obscure the better!
See ya Karen
