That does sound very Terry Jones-ish... maybe it was The Complete and Utter History of Britain?

ideally, if i met him i'd whisk him off to a resturant, and then back to my place
...in reality i'd blabber away, go all peculiar and make a fool of myself!

What you think you may do or say, may not happen. Quite a few of us who thought we would either ramble on and embarrass ourselves or just stare and not get a word out, found to a great relief we sounded very normal and everything was fine.

So hands up who thought they would look and sound like idiots when meeting Michael, but in fact did not?

I said most of the things I wanted to say, but could have said a lot more if I wasn't so pressed for time! :(

hallo everyone

Hands up - me I said nothing !

i just wanted to add that I met him once in Selfridges on a book signing, he was put between the bathroom towels which was a funny sight. Despite being a grown woman when I met Mr P I was reduced to silence. In fact he thought my friend was there to see him because i said nothing throughout the meet. My friend took a picture of us together which was good and i have a distinctive look of serenity about me. When are his next signings by the way?

Hello Jo

we think that he will sign for his next series in the autumn of 04 but it is nothing official yet - he is recording a new series about the himalayan area at the moment and it will take time to write the book etc.

stay with us

Lyn
