My initial enthusiasm about play.com has been dealt a cruel blow...

Yesterday I registered with them and placed my first order. When I checked back later my account had been temporarily suspended. The reason? Apparently my address did not EXACTLY match the address on my credit card. And the reason for this is that many UK and US websites will only accept the post/zip code format for that particular country. Finnish ones are different (in line, I may add, with most mainland European countries). So I have no way to order from play.com without changing the address on my credit card to something that is incorrect.

Not good.

is there not a contact e mail for them that you can explain your problems and then order that way or by phone?? try it ok

Yeah, thanks Diamond, I'm going to try to phone them later.

I just had to let off some steam on here - I've lost count of the number of things I've NOT been able to order from the internet purely because some companies can't see beyond their back door. I mean, it's great that play.com's delivery is free, especially for overseas customers, but why offer a service which thay can't then provide.

Sorry, I should be addressing these questions to them, not you guys.

You can set your chatmark at any time and as often as you like.
