Boxing day the sales starts - well some of them anyway here in the uk got my crackers half price in Woolworths on B day last year- if Nz are ahead of us then evening for you would be morning for us lot up here?! so any time between 8am and 11am boxing day uk time is that ok this would be approx 7 to 10 pm at night over the other side of the world but it is only a tentative suggestion as we need to synchronise watches.

just dont want to have this forgotten - still time to iron out the final arrangements - shall I leave the ironing to you ellen!?!@@@

Thanks, Lyn...we really do need to start posting times.

I, however, would not be able to do the time you proposed. 8-11 AM over in the UK would be around 2-5 AM here in Wisconsin in the USA.

I'm willing to stay up late/wake up early to be able to make it to this proposed chat, but...not THAT late/early.

Not worrying about day for a moment here, can we just focus on time? Because, no matter what day it is, there are only going to be certain times that are really going to work.

What about early morning US/evening UK and West. Europe/night NZ?

When I get on at 10 in the morning to speak to a British friend of mine, it's usually 4-5PM there, and it'd be, what, around 10PM in NZ? We could play with those times...

Give me some feedback: yes, no?

That would be 5 - 6am for us.

What about !2 pm - 3/4pm (depending on which coast for you , 7 - 8pm UK and 8 - 9am for NZ??

NZ is 13 hours ahead of the UK at the moment I think (with our daylight saving).

Ellen x

As for the ironing Lyn.............don't mention it, please........the family are all a bit wrinkly at the moment as I've been Christmas jobbing instead............ :-{{{{{{[

"Oh, the drudgery, the drudgery.........I can feel myself turning into a "pepperpot" already!!!

Ye gods!

Is New Zealand THAT far ahead of us Americans????

Or wait...are you *behind*? I'm looking at this handy dandy time zone map here that I got a coupl years ago and it appears that you're 7 hours behind me. I don't know. But what you said would work, Ellen. :O) At least you know what you're talking about. That'd be 2PM for me, I believe.

So I should be getting on at this time on *my* Boxing Day, yes?

Anyone have any problems with what Ellen proposed?
