Wow-what a great Christmas gift. Thanks to Mr. Palin and his webmasters for the Holiday greetings. Here I was, lamenting about having a brown Christmas (VERY rare in Minnesota) and I wake up to big, fluffy snowflakes and Christmas greetings from Micheal Palin. Glorious!
Twas the night before Christmas and on the world web-
Stories of travel and holiday greetings were said.
The humid train ride that only got hotter.
The sign read too late saying 'don't drink the water'.
The boat that sprung leaks, the bright sun - and no hat!
The new and exotic....'Am I to really EAT that?!?'
We've all come together to share the good and the bad.
Missed connections, lost luggage - great times we've all had.
As we trip cross vast expanses, with our baggage to lug.
Influenced by a Python with a traveling bug.
May we catch that last train, or find that cab late at night.
Happy Travels to all, and to all a good flight!
Happy Holidays and a Joyous New Year to all of you here and your families!
-trixi
Now-I have some shopping of my own to finish! |

Hello Palinites,
It was so nice to hear from Michael, especially at the end of such a hectic and successful year. 8M viewers per episode! Hopefully, that will bode well for a new series soon!
But as a time of reflection, it's nice to think of all our friends. There are many people who have brightened my days with their Palinesque-comments on the Palins Travels website.
I think this site has been a major success. It has brought many Palinites together. It's been informative, educational, funny and, on occasions, a good way to meet great new friends.
I've enjoyed speaking with many of you already, and look forward to speaking with much more of you next year. Until then, have a very safe, healthy and happy festive period.
Hugs,
Rick |

Love it Trixi, well put! :-}}}}}}}}
Seasons Greetings to all you wonderful Palinite friends. :-}} A big hug @@ , a peck under the mistletoe and a wide smile, eyes a twinkling from here. :-}}}
Well it's Christmas morning here in NZ and we've been up since 4:55am. It was a beautiful sunrise! :-}
The stockings have been emptied with a lot of excited squeals along the way. Hubby and I have spent about an hour puzzling over how to assemble the various boardgames set up on the kitchen table. I didn't realise that you had to have a Mensa level IQ to put together "MouseTrap" or "Harry Potter's Levitation Challenge" !! The girls have given up asking "Is it ready yet??" and have gone to explore other gifts. They know that when Mummy and Daddy start to talk through gritted teeth it's a good time to scarper!! :-}
All is well again and the house is full of smiles so I'll wish you all a
VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS :_}}}
Look forward to communicating on the 26th/ 27th in the live chat session. :-}}}
It's been wonderful meeting you all and I'm looking forward to more madness in the New Year.
Lots Of Love and Best Wishes

Thanks for the Christmas message Michael and thanks for Palin’s Travels. OIL do a wonderful job, Merry Christmas to everyone at OIL as well and all the Palinites who post messages here at the Chatterbox.
The Christmas Day rush is over for me now that the afternoon is upon me. I had a surprise in the form of a phone call this morning from Louise from London wishing me and my family and my cats a Merry Christmas. I told her that her voice sounded very posh, (having never heard her voice before) and I did not expect that. I realised later that, she could have taken that comment the wrong way, but she didn’t. :-)
The next thing that happened was poor Tigger the kitten got her toe lodged between the door and a small step. She was crying out so loud that no matter what I did to get her toe out I was not sure if I was making things worse or better. I finally managed to find the right way to move the door so she could get her toe out from underneath it. She walked away, licked her toe and looked at me as if to say, “what was the big fuss?” She has been running, jumping and flying around since then, so I'm happy to say that the worst is a bruised tootsie.
A Merry Christmas from me here in NZ, on a windy, wet, but humid Christmas Day. It looks as if I won’t be able to join any of you wonderful people for a chat on the 27th, so I hope you have a great time . . . . . without me.

I'm sorry that by the time I'm writing this message most everyone has had their Christmas already. But, you know, being busy and all that...I had to skip a day on the Palin board.
Anywho, I hope all of you have enjoyed the holidays and best of luck to all of you in the New Year! I'm looking forward to many more exciting adventures from the Palin board. :O)
