Yeah its really cold outside :S I just helped bring a Washing machine into the house which involved standing and guarding it and the car for about 15 mins in the cold and freezing winds!! :/ I have this circulation problem in my hands when they get too cold as well...they go all white, apparently its hereditary, but its really annoying!
Ooh hot choccie sounds really good! :D I think I will have some tonight to warm myself up :D |

>>Well I'm only 18 work part time on minimum wage and couldn't afford to travel yet anyway! (Although I'd really like to) The plan is to head off some place when i finish college (I'll be 20). I quite fancy Japan...
Owch. Japan? One of the most expensive places in the world to travel in. You'd be better of choosing somewhere like Nepal first. Much much much cheaper there.

I see what your saying GF but I actually have a small stash that FINALLY became mine on my 18th birthday. I'm not planning on blowing it all yet, I'm saving it up. I only use it for important stuff but the idea is to use it for travel. It's after college money! And Japan is more of an ultimate goal, the one place I'd love to see most. Your right though, might be a little too pricy for me! |

I'm jealous because i'd also love to go to Japan. I just cant bring myself to entertain that expenditure for a trip though. I worked out earlier this year how much i'd be spending in one day at rock bottom. And it shocked me. I had to cancel the idea. But if you've got the money and really attracts you. I'd say, yes go for it while the means are there. And send me a souveneir :)
And while i'm here, your comment about your "small stash" reminded me of a great Blackadder II sketch (which i must post here because i'm a "quote sadoo"). It's a great scene.
------------
Percy: "Do not despair, for I have some small savings carefully harvested from my weekly allowance, set aside against my frail old age. By lucky haps,it is just over a thousand, methinks, and has for years has been hidden beyond the wit of any thief, in an old sock..."
Edmund and Percy: "...under the squeaky floorboard.."
Baldrick, Edmund and Percy: "...behind the kitchen dresser".
Percy: "You've seen it?"
Edmund: "Seen it,pinched it, spent it. And same goes for the two farthings Baldrick thinks he's got hidden inside that mouldy potato".
Baldrick: "Oh, bloody hell!"

LOL I remember that one! I love Blackadder too. The best bit for me was the invention of 'purest Green'... |

Percy : "Edmund....can it be true? that i...Lord percy have created a nugget of purest....GREEN???"
Edmund : "Well it's not really a nugget is it percy. It's more of a splat"

Godfather, i know what you mean about not being able to travel at the mo! Im 18 too and all the money is being saved for uni. Does the uni you want to go to have the SOCRATES scheme? you can spend a year abroad in a counrty in europe and if you get a scholarship, you dont have to pay. The uni i want to go to offeres places at unis in countries they have links in. Im looking inot hte ones in Japan and Australia, as ive never been to those places before. Dont know if my ramblings help you at all, but i hope so.
Ive only seen abit of Blackadder, but i thought it was v funny. Will have to see if they repeat any soon on TV |
