Are the Galapolos islands Turkey or Greece. And is that where you see Giant Iguanas with George Michael's face?
Mind you I would quite like to visit the Galapagos instead, also Antarctica, Macchu Pichu, Angkor Wat, Tahiti, the plains of Nazca, the Amazon, Abu Simbel, and I can return time and time again to Lamu and Sydney, paradoxically two of my most favourite places.
Safe trip to Turkey this year.

Sky - I've been to Venice, although I hope sometime to visit Rome.

Venice was quite nice, but snowy and bloody freezing! (Do NOT go to Venice in February!) some of the steps are made of marble (especially near the train station) and many people were falling over on them. It was very weird seeing boats delivering goods, and police/fire/ambulance boats shooting through the canals. There was even a boy racer boat! Complete with loud bass music and go-faster stripes! Overall, a nice place, with some good art galleries, but once you've seen it, you've seen it really.

Places I want to see (I can only think of 9 so far!):
Rome, Canada, more of America, Australia, Japan, Egypt, Ireland (specifically co. Cork, so I can see where my great grandparents lived), Scotland (Yes I know, its only a short distance away but i've never been there!), Aruba (V. good windsurfing spot)

Thanks for all the feedback on London, everyone! It's just, if you're an American Python fan, you have to go.

I forgot one place. Saw it in a documentary. In Java, there's an ancient temple and I'm probably spelling it wrong, but the site is called Barabadoa. It's an immense Buddhist temple. Not only is it grand in itself, but a few years ago, it was discovered that the ground was naturally eroding from underneath it and it showed signs of crumbling and caving in. So the American and British Geographic Societies raised funds, and actually moved the entire temple a few feet over, one piece at a time. No kidding. And now it's safe.

Interesting we all have different priorities. I want to see achitecture and engineering. Ahren wants to see animals. Anne wants to see history, and Sky wants to DO STUFF!
