Nothing, after all.

I think it's highly likely you'll be getting a very nice apology from MP soon. Also, try to remember he's just human like you & me. An hour a half lecture is a really long time, too.

A lot of celebrities I've been around encase themselves in a "phoney baloney plastic banana" graciousness that's more insulting than anything else. He obviously doesn't.

Thats so true George..I've met many celebs in my travels and Michael is without doubt the most approachable and dare I say it..NICEST??

perhaps you would like to have been in phylls shoes that night then karen - humiliating or what - but then you had run out of money rather than stay with me (or so you say!!)so you will never have to experience it first hand will you

About time we had closure on this. Just goes to prove what I said a few months ago. Michael is no superman, he has bad days, gets angry, tired, frustrated, like the rest of us. As I said once before long ago, 'a decent bloke' and not a saint. Let's leave it at that please.

Err, does anyone want to hear how Michael signed my gourd when I met him at the Himalaya book talk and signing in Melbourne late last year?

Or maybe Kaz can tell us the story of when she met Brian May! ;)

diamond (lyn) is at it again.give it a break. there are two sides to every story. dont jump on kaz (karen) just becasue she wont shun mp on your word alone. and it bothers me how you have appointed yourself as phylls mouthpiece. let her speak for herself.you didnt experince what she went through firsthand either.

Re: Hampstead Lecture and what happened - chaos ruled!! by kazzzz on 17 May 2005 2:11pm

Er.....not criticizing Phyll here simply stating that I think MP is nice...is that ok???
Dear oh dear.....would you like to see my bank book Lyn?
Oh and Missy I'm sure I can share that story with you again!!! Gourd you say?? Oh DOOO tell!! :)

i thought we were all agreed that it would be best to simply drop this.

*puts on priestess hat*

you really don't want me to get philosophical on your collective asses. but you know i'm going to.

in my struggle to spiritually evolve as a human being on this planet, i've discovered that the only true power in the universe is love. the first tenet of my personal spiritual path is summed up in two words: "harm none". (this is echoed by most of the major faiths of this world.) to me, this includes not only physical violence, but also the emotional hurt caused by rash words and thoughtless actions. we are ALL, every single one of us, guilty of breaking this universal law at one time or another. one of the drawbacks of loving someone is that sooner or later, whether by accident or on purpose, they will do or say something to hurt us. the point is that we need to resist the very human instinct to lash out at those who cause us pain. we also need to cultivate a spirit of fairness so that we always seek to understand both sides of a story before we make a judgment. knee-jerk reactions are not helpful to anyone. a very wise teacher once said "judge not, lest ye also be judged."

to this i would add a quote from shakespeare which would seem to be pertinent:

"to err is human; to forgive, divine."

as the human family fumbles towards the evolution of the divine within, we can start by forgiving each other for the harsh words that have been written here.

peace, love and michael

Miss M tell us the Gourd story but maybe start it on a new subject thread so this one does not keep cropping up...please do tell!
