Any Palinites from the south-eastern states of Oz around here?

How did you all cope with the heat over the weekend? Poor old Sydney, right on the harbour, got to 44C (111F) Sunday. Poor old Melbourne, a stone's throw from the bay, hit 43C (109F) Saturday - and that was at 6pm!! Ugh!

My sister in law phoned earlier to say they are sweltering in a very humid 39C at the mo in Brisbane.

Here in Christchurch NZ, we're quite 'cool'? today with 31C accompanied by a hot, dry, dusty wind.

Actually Ellen, I'm in Queensland, not Sydney. We had nice weather yesterday - the humidity was tempered by a pleasant easterly seabreeze. But its hot today - already up to 35C, very sticky. It's been like this for the last month - our December average was four degrees higher than usual. That's global warming for you... :(

Oh it is nice here. It is 27 C and I have the door open.
I called my mother and told her. She told me how many ways I could be harmed if I didn't cut it out.
