Arty, politicians have giant egos. They only pontificate on their own websites and blogs. If they came to this site, who knows how we might prick them with pins.

| excuse me, thomas, a member of this site and my boyfriend does a degree in european politics and enjoys travelling and has been a fan and member of this site since it was first created. and you'll find he is one of the funniest people you'll ever speak to, just ask lyn or patty or kazzz or phyll or or or many many more people on here! lol... sorry rant over, i just think that it was an unfair stereotype! |

It's not just the politicians - the health and safety mob need to be strung up by the wedding tackle as well. From today's Telegraph:
"Orange pips and plum stones have become the latest concern for health and safety enthusiasts, a report reveals.
Some schools, which are giving out free fruit to their pupils under a health initiative funded by the Scottish Executive, believe that fruits with pips are dangerous and so are avoiding them.
"We tend not to use stone fruits because of the safety issues. Orange pips fall into that category," a respondent to the study said.
.....As well as worrying that children would choke to death, some teachers were concerned that they could slip over on dropped fruit, or be allergic to it."
Presumably crisps will also be banned as they have those nasty sharp edges which could be used to slit a child's throat. Water has to go too, people drown in it. Knives and forks - well, they're just lethal, aren't they? Strawberries - no pips or sharp edges but they look very bloody, don't they - might induce a panic attack.
Let children be children, you prissy bunch of big girls' blouses. |

Tying this in quite beautifully with Mr Palin, who remembers this bit of a Python sketch:
"Tonight I shall be carrying on from where we got to last week when I was showing you how to defend yourselves against anyone who attacks you with armed with a piece of fresh fruit."
