HAHAHAHAHAHA Thanks.

Will you take me out for a walk, then?

Good job we didn't buy him as a guard dog ! (Though he does bark if someone visiting a neighbour or something parks their car near us (we live on a quiet country lane).

I do worry about him, though, with all this dognapping that goes on. Apparently in the West mids Staffies are the number one hit as they are used for fighting. We live in Staffordshire so I suppose we count as WMids!! Trouble is, you can't let it rule your (or the dog's) life, all you can do is be vigilant, though I saw on the TV where one person's dog was taken over the back gate!!

I imagine Tosun (our dog - it's Turkish for 'bull') living in a coccoon or bubble of love! Aaww!!!

Also - I believe that it's the way the dog is brought up and trained by its owner that dictates whether or not they are vicious, particularly if the breed is prone to it.

Look how vicious some Rottweilers are, but then you get some who are gentle as anything. The same with Dobermans (or Dobermen?!!) and German Sheps.

Many of the owners of Pit Bulls are, well, a human form of Pit Bull!! Though I agree that they are a breed predisposed to aggression, they don't have a chance with owners like that!!

Matron, that was pretty damn funny.

update on dog show:

An award-winning (not that that matters) greyhound bolted from its crate while being loaded onto a plane at JFK Airport in NY. It hasn't been found yet.

The Port Authority and NYC Police have emphasized that they have scoured the airport area, but will not search further, you know, what with the missing PEOPLE, missing and exploited children, and humans needing police services. I love dogs, but I understand.

a loose greyhound. uh oh. I wish them luck--they're gonna need it. A sight hound with speed--double whammy.

hope he's okay. I love greys.

Actually, she's a whippet but they're almost as fast. I'm on several sighthound lists and they are all posting info on her and co-ordinating searches. Every week I get several notices about missing sighthounds and, almost always, they are found, frequently due to the info posted on the 'net. What ever did we do before we all connected in cyberspace....?

I love whippets, too!!! such dear, sweet dogs...so fawnlike and delicate...I want one!!! now!

that's good news about sighthounds getting rescued...I hope this little guy gets found soon.
