Yes, Patty, these things are horrible & I'm glad the after-effects arew passing off. Just what you can do without at this time of year, isn't it?

Last thing I wanted was to be sick, but I'm really much better now. Wasted about 4 days though.

About 3 weeks ago I had the 'joy' of having what I think was the 'Winter Vomiting Bug' Novovirus.

We had watched Martin Clunes 'A is for Acid' on Tv in bed (re Haigh the acid bath murderer) and switched off the TV about midnight I think. I felt fine! Then I woke up at 2.30 feeling really nauseous and spent the next couple of hours being very sick. That finished and then 'the other end' began!! All I wanted to do was get back into bed but as soon as I got towards the bed I had to go back to the bathroom.

The husband asked if I wanted the doctor but I said no.

About 7 or 8 it all stopped, but I was so weak I stayed in bed that day, and could only manage sips of a glucose drink.

As I have little or no immune system, (in my illness the immune system attacks the muscles etc so it is closed down by medication), I pick up everything going so have to be careful. I have to have the flu jab (though I haven't had it this year yet) and have had the pneumonia jab.

I have every sympathy with you Pats for being sick so long!! I am glad mine was only for a few hours.

Oh and by the way the husband joked (I hope hahaha) that next time he'd increase the dose of the poison hee hee

I definitely did not have the "other end" troubles Anne. Must've been terrible, to put it mildly.

Too much information from you oldies about your bouts of the skitters.

"Too much information from you oldies"
