Yes, I agree Lyn,it was amazing to see just how full a career David had had. I didn't know he had been quite such a vital player in the Beeb's early developement.
I really knew him best as the most engaging biology/geography/history/natural science teacher ever! You couldn't help but be interested as he was so enthusistic and passionate about any subject he was presenting, be it Gorillas, the Common Ant or a particularly rare species of Lichen!
David Attenborough and David Bellamy, what a childhood!! :^}}

Life on air Sir David Attenborough
I have just started reading the book and I can tell already it's going to be a "can't put it down "type of book
The book does indicate that Sir David is 74, a lot of stories to be told about these busy broadcasting years.
He is indeed a charming , witty and enthusiastic man, sounds a bit like somebody else don't you think Michael ????..................

Available on DVD?
Do you think we could get it on DVD over in America? I've been quite curious to see this since I heard some of my fellow Palinites reviewing it last year.
Hm. Perhaps it's time for Mary to do some research...unless someone can tell me off the top of their head so that I can be lazy? ;O)

Lyn - I see you are trying to get everyone on your side and making me the baddie. Well, YOU were the one who left me hanging while making up your mind, with no word from you whatsoever! I was not going to put up with . . . .that ill-mannered type of behaviour. Then suddenly in a flash Mac appeared before me and wanted to marry me!!! I felt wanted again!! Oh, yes!! And now you are marrying Ellen. Well, good luck, but it proves I made the right choice in turning away from you to Mac.
Dianne (thinking, "will anyone reading this who does not know us take this seriously?") |
