Yes a very long time ago........ perhaps we should resurrect it as it seems relevent for the US palinites getting ready for booksignings at the mo?
Wingtips are definately global and Helen's baby.
Wingtip = a shoe with what looks like an 'M' in a seperate piece of leather laid across the front of it. A picture would definately save a thousand words of my clumsy description!!

And don't forget to add that wingtips sometimes have little perforations and are two-toned leather( But not always). The two -toned ones are pretty ugly. And also, they are men's dress shoes. Is anybody getting a vision of these "lovelies" yet?
