Have a good time sophie and thomas - i went to a recording of countdown a while back when RW was presenting it and he signed a copy of his book Him Off - his autobiography for me - I was there for two sessions and saw a whole week of programmes being recorded - it was fascinating to see how they put the programme together and what they edited out - when someone had a fit of laughter for example if they got their words in a muddle

how lovely to think that you have a jacket too - but not the tie to go with it?? they were just as loud from what i remember!!

Will you go to the green room to chat to the contestants and carol etc? or is it just in the audience that you will be? - when do you go?

they do have memorabilia for sale - or they did - i often have a cuppa out of my countdown mug!!

have fun

saw countdown filmed yesterday and got carol's autograph and spoke to her for a bit! she's even more lovely and even more beautiful in the flesh! was so nice to meet her! she was pleased to hear that one of richard whitley's jackets had gone to a good home!!

they filmed the audience once so i might be on tv on the 7th (i really didn't want to be on tv but oh well, lets just hope it doesn't add pounds to you lol)

they filmed three episodes so it was a long time and the 17 year old contestant was very tired by the end bless him! he did very well!

there was lots of countdown crap for sale, i bought a mug and a notebook which i got carol and dez to sign for me. i also got one for thomas's little brother who loves carol to bits, got it signed too. there's a nice suprise christmas prezzie!

Glad you had a nice time yesterday. You must have been in there for quite a few hours if they filmed three episodes!

Awww how FAB!
Did Thomas get the maths question before the contestants did? How tall is Carol? She looks short on telly. Did she try and sell you a financial plan at all?

Re: Countdown TV Show by Sophie-Louise on 18 November 2006 2:12pm

she's about the same height as me, about 5'7". so about average height i'd say.

she did ask us if i had any large outstanding debts but when i said only a student loan she didn't seem very interested...
