futuretraveller, you're thinking of this one:
Lovejoy: ....whether they be Christian (indicates Flanders), Jew (indicates Krusty), or miscellaneous (indicates Apu).
Apu: There are over 900 million of us.
Lovejoy: Well that's just super.
I might have screwed that up slightly. |

Why qoute the Simpsons? I personally think Family Guy is better. The Simpsons have been on for too long. It's a good show, but they need to cancel it. The show is not as funny as it was in previous seasons. |

The trouble is, the longer a long-running program stays on, that's the more time that we have remember the show's glory days and compare the current episodes to them.
No program in its 8th season is as good as it was in the 5th season. Furthemore, while there might be good stuff here and there, we've all gotten used to the show being mediocre compared to what we remember.
Money making series just run and run until they're beaten into the ground. I wish they'd plan limited runs so we wouldn't get time to become nostalgic. |

Chief Wiggum: This is Papa Bear. Put out an APB for a male suspect, driving a... car of some sort, heading in the direction of, uh, you know, that place that sells chili. Suspect is hatless. Repeat, hatless. |

Lisa: It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Homer's Brain: What does that mean? Better say something or they'll think you're stupid.
Homer: Takes one to know one!
Homer's Brain: Swish! |

Kirk's boss: (explaining why Kirk is being let go) Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers; we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.
Kirk: So that's it, after 20 years, "so long, good luck"?
Kirk's boss: I don't recall saying "good luck."
