Congrats, Thomas! Good for you for following your conviction. I imagine it's not a popular stance among Brits?

Many thanks for all your kind messages of congratulations! I'm glad to say that the power hasn't gone to my head at all, and I am more than happy to be referred to as either Mr. President or Your Holiness. I really don't mind which.

Indeed, it does seem that most of my fellow countrymen have yet to be convinced of the virtues of Europe. I, however, believe that this has a lot more to do with sensationalist and lying media outlets than any rational or reasonable judgement. If people informed themselves about current affairs without relying on The Sun or Sky News, we might get somewhere. Nevertheless, I will stand up for what I believe in.

My political studies are going well, I only have a few months left in Yorkshire. I will really miss it here. I know Leeds is a bit of a hole, but having lived in London, it is a lot less polluted hole and a hole where the people are friendlier (and I'm speaking as a true blue Surrey boy here).

I will e-mail you shortly Mike. And Kazzzz, if I do become le Roi des Belges, you will be the first to receive a lifetime supply of royally commissioned Belgian chocolates!

CHOCLIT, everyone loves CHOCLIT. Everyone loves a nice bit of cake, MAN I LOVE THE CAKE!

Thomas, I would really love it if you could expound a bit on why your "countrymen have yet to be convinced of the virtues of Europe." We don't get much discussion about that on this side of the pond.

(And, again, congratulations!)
