I imagine Palinites (Kazzzz, Miss-M, others?) based in Melbourne will be absent from this board on the above date:

MONTY Python's Broadway hit musical Spamalot is coming to Australia.

Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and their quest for the Holy Grail.

Directed by Mike Nichols, the musical is based on the screenplay of the classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail and features "a chorus line of dancing divas, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and a legless knight".

Python's Eric Idle, who wrote the Spamalot book, lyrics and music to the musical, said the production had been "lovingly ripped-off" from the screenplay of the Holy Grail.

"In revenge for the cricket, we are sending you Spamalot...actually we are anxious to see how the show plays upside down," Idle said.

Spamalot's first Australian performance will be held at Her Majesty's Theatre, Melbourne on November 23.

Can't believe that "Spamalot" was shut out of the Olivier Awards. Not even one for Tim Curry - outrageous!

I have heard about Life of Brian being converted into a musical.

Eric Idle is also doing this one, and he's making it into an oratorio, so it should be interesting. It's supposed to open in Canada this summer, my mom is hoping we can take a road-trip up there to see it, and I'm going to definitley keep encouraging this idea! lol
