Sad News by thomasmbrooks30 on 8 March 2007 11:51am
I have just seen on the BBC website that John Inman has died. I know that a great many people here are huge fans of Are You Being Served, and that certainly includes myself! Apparently he was a great stage actor (and a perfect pantomime dame), but there is one thing for certain. "I'm free" will be a catchphrase for years to come. Sad news indeed.

I agree Cori - he was a great pantomime dame and seemed a good sort.

Very sad news indeed. As long as AYBS is screened, he won't be forgotten. RIP John.

Strangely enough, the gays (sodomites) hated the man. They hated the stereotypical character he played. The man was an actor for godsake. He played the part that was written for him. And he done it darn well.
R.I.P John.
