Cream Egg Horror!! by Spursfan on 23 March 2007 8:59pm

This is mainly for Kazzzz...

I was reading a magazine, you know the sort, where there are true stories, and one headline caught my eye: Murdered for a cream egg !!!

Turns out that this woman's adult son was always playing jokes. He was outside with his mates, then came into the house - he'd been stabbed and subsequently died.

It was found that he had been trying to wrap a real egg in Cadbury's Cream Egg paper, as a joke, but the paper was too small. He had then thrown the egg over a fence, but it had hit the window of a house and the son had come over (aged 15!) and stabbed him.

What a world we live in...

Sounds more like a magazine that prints a load of crap. Why was'nt the story anywhere else? Don't believe everything you read, unless it is written by me!
I can and do make a joke about anything. It does'nt change things.
Like the story I posted about the poor bloke who hung himself on-line. I was going to write that I would have sold the film rights for my kids and I would have worn a better shirt. But I think that would be a sick thing to say.
But the guy would just be as dead as he is.

No - it's a magazine where readers write in with their (true) stories, i.e. abot things that have happened in their lives. It's not a magazine version of the Daily Sport.

Women (and men!) write in about violence, love and about medical events that have happened to them.

I guess a few of them are exaggerated, or written from their point of view, but not entirely made up.

Read it and weep John!! It's on Sky News.

Sky News Home UK Updated: 15:56, Monday November 27, 2006

A teenage boy has been sentenced to four years in a young offenders institution for killing a man in a row involving a Cadbury's Creme Egg.

Chriss Lightning, 16, stabbed former scaffolder John Cumby in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, in February.

The boy was cleared of murder but found guilty of manslaughter at a trial at Norwich Crown Court last month.

The jury was told Mr Cumby, 30, was killed after trying to wrap a real egg in a Creme Egg wrapper.

When he failed, he threw it over the roof of a house as a prank.

But it fell short and smashed against a bathroom window of the home where Lightning, who was 15 at the time, lived with his family.

The teenager's mother called the police and the family, who had been victims of anti-social behaviour, were angry about the incident, the court heard.

Prosecutor Ian James said Lightning, who had a knife, and his brother confronted Mr Cumby in an nearby alleyway.

The jury heard Mr Cumby was stabbed by Lightning after pushing his brother.

Mr James said it was unclear why the victim had been playing with the egg, adding: "Whatever his folly he paid the ultimate price."
