The Latest Possible Presidential Candidate. by tucsonmike on 28 June 2007 7:46am

The Economist did New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg this week, who would run as an independent. He would be the most able candidate, but not a great campaigner. For those who do not know, he owns Bloomberg business services and is a billionaire. He can easily finance his own campaign.
Curiouser and curiouser...

He's been both a Democrat and a Republican and now he's neither. That is the most attractive thing about him - someone who doesn't take our fossilized Party system seriously. It's time for that revolution every generation that Thomas Jefferson espoused.

So a chick, a black guy, a Chicano and a Jew walk into a bar......

Sorry I couldn't resist. I'm 2 out of 4 of the above.

It's terrifically interesting. Our nation WILL survive having all these candidates, in fact be better for it. It's perfectly normal in other democratic countries. It's about time it happened here.

Also "curiouser": I have grown to very much like Ron Paul. He says the things John McCain used to say.

Yes. It's too bad that McCain is no longer saying them.

If he is running, I might change and go for him.

Mike, I thought you were going to announce yourself as the latest possible Presidential candidate.

I can't vote for you, but I could be your Monica Lewinsky! ;)

I am honored, ladies, but the headaches of being the American President.
I had to laugh though. Two Australian women wanting me to be U.S. President.
Something tells me it would not go well. The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff would come in and say we have been attacked and I would cry "out of my way, I cannot see the telly and Big Papi is up at bat!";-)
Now Missy is going to be my Monica Lewinsky BEFORE the fact. I can use that as a campaign slogan. Don't bother impeaching me, I am already having...Let's not go there, shall we?;-)
I'll settle for Mayor of Tucson and will use Jimmys as my clubhouse. I'll dispense favors from there.
If I were elected President, I would not be allowed to have the White House in Tucson. I would have to move to Washington, and it is cold in the winter. I would have to wear suits. (Though the women look great in their fur coats).
Yes, I will become Mayor of Tucson, and only go to City Hall on Alameda Street to pick up my messages on my way to the Railroad Museum. Jimmys is where people will have to come see me.

Sounds like our current president to me.
