The Chatter Box : Blathering On
I don't believe it! by perfectbitch on 17 July 2007 9:01pm
My daughter, Jo, always follows Big Brother which I try to avoid at al times. One night last week, her tv was on the blink and she had had a bad day so I relented and let her watch it in the living room. I sat here at the pc, doing catch-up mail, finances and a job search etc. and was quite engrossed when I realised that I recognised the voice of one of the housemates. I turned to the tv and saw that there was a middle aged lady, Carol, there whose face did seem familiar but I just couldn't remember how I knew her.

Then it came to me.....she was the ex. of one of our close friends from before we knew him and she had a daughter about the same age as Rachel (my other daughter) then - two and a half. Circumstances had the 4 of us going to the Wye valley for a weeks holiday. I had made the mistake, when Rachel was a baby, of biting her bum on occasion. So, on this holiday, Rachel loved Carol's daughter so much that she kept biting her on the head. Carol was very understanding about it but I was so embarassed and lost contact with her.

In fact, I don't know what embarrasses me more, the fact that my toddler was a compulsive biter or that I know somebody who is on Big Brother!!

Well, that's amazing! It's a small world. For some reason I have been watching bits of Big Brother this time. Don't know why, it gets on my nerves most of the time. Can't understand why anyone would want to be cooped up with so many people for weeks on end.

Great story Linz ! I never bit my kid's bums but my 'vice' was sniffing their heads! New born infants smell so good ! Can't eat a whole one though. ;)

Remember what people say about "six degrees of separation."

That's amazing! Linz, I know someone who got onto the shortlist for the UK Bog Brother to be an inmates or wotever they're called. Just as well she didn't get in, she's really bad tempered. But then again they like that don't they?
We have BB on here now too, and my daughter flicked it on the other night. We couldn't believe our ears. They were having a serious discussion about how a baby chicken gets into an egg.I felt like crying.

Our son Simon sent a vid in once but he said he wouldn't do it again.

He was also 'nearly' on Blind Date, getting 2 interviews. However, they were told that if the Blind Date people rang to invite them on the show and they were going out with someone they had to tell them or be banned for life. If they were going with someone and they admitted it, then they would be put on file.

Anyway, they actually RANG Si to invite him on the show but he had started going out with his (now) fiancee. He would have been the chooser.

However, they showed his interview group on the show which I have on DVD (well I'm a proud Mom!!)

He's also done some modelling for Wolves FC - there were life size pix of him in the club shop window and also in the local paper!
