Off to New Zealand in February and just working out the itinary of my trip trying to decide on the many places there that I want to visit. Does anyone have any suggestions of MUST SEE places that I should include. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks Kimsie

Well, my nephews and their families live in Taupo which they say is beautiful with its lake etc (my sister has lived in Wanganui for the past 34 years).

You might find these interesting:

Mitre Peak in my stamp collection looks quite spectacular. There is also the Southern Alps with Mt Cook. Lake Waikitipu and the Maori culture would be interesting. You may get a chance to see The All Blacks and the haka they perform before a rugby game.

If you make it to the South Island, visit the Doubtful Sound...it is SPECTACULAR!!! If you have to chose between Doubtful or Milford Sound, no contest. The most enjoyable part of the Milford Sound trip was the plane ride there from Queenstown. Flying in a Cessna through the mountains is like riding a roller-coaster!!!

I reckon John Cleese would recommend visiting Palmerston North ;-)

Hi all, thanks for your comments and yes have been finding so many places that look interesting to see, in fact there are just to many of them lol. And Ken, I have already found a place that offers to teach you the HAKA so thats a must and just a damn shame I am going to miss their rugby season as had hoped to maybe catch a match, will just have to wait till they come back to england instead lol.
